International Photo Contest pictures

These two pictures of mine got selected for Rice's international photo contest. One was taken in Amsterdam. The picture reminded me of the paintings in the Rijksmuseum, with the prominent clouds and interplay between colour and lighting.

The other was of the Sikh Golden Temple in Amritsar in northern India. Personally I think this was one of my best pictures to date: it is very striking, visually, and the water reflection makes the composition even more memorable. My friends who saw that picture said they were surprised that I did not receive an award at all. It was a fun trip, living 10 days doing the meditation retreat in Dharamshala.
