Where to eat in Houston
Chowhound has some of the best information of where to eat in Houston, or almost anywhere in the US. I'll be adding this link to my list of links to the blog template.
Houston's a foodie's paradise: supposedly there are more restaurants than in New York, although I think that is probably and apocryphal lie. Just use Google's search function to search the Chowhound website, and you can easily find places to go. For example, if you want to look for Thai food in Houston, on the Chowhound board, type:
houston thai food site:chowhound.com
Sometimes I add the word "best" if I want to look for a really good recommendation.
The same search technique can be used to look for Houston Press reviews by Robb Walsh, who is an award-winning food review writer with Houston Press. He writes detailed reviews of restaurants, ranging from skanky soul-food places in the Fifth Ward to posh food places like T'afia, and often writes beautifully researched and written pieces, like the one about Gulf oysters.
